The tubes are completely covered by the water proof, vapor permeable cover, providing in use a low friction surface to reduce shear loads on the skin. The air pump is very quiet and uses about the same amount of electricity as a 10-watt light bulb. The pump can be placed on the floor under the bed or hung from the bedstead at the foot with the provided hooks. We are sure you can't buy a better mattress than this at such a low price.
